City staff updated the council on Nov. 10 about progress at the Risco Park Community Center and the financing timeline.
Matt said contractors are applying waterproofing to the retaining wall that will separate upper-floor offices from the lower gym; after waterproofing they will backfill against the wall. "So the gym will be lower down, gray wise, and the office will be up," Matt described as construction phasing.
On financing, staff said they are preparing advertising materials for the required public hearing and remain on track for council approval of financing in December. No final financing action was taken during the work session; staff will proceed with public-hearing advertising and return to council for formal approval of financing items.
The work session did not record votes or contract awards; staff outlined next procedural steps for advertising and council consideration.
