Centennial officials say PDE-4605 billing has yielded just over $300,000; process is time‑consuming and contingent on home districts

Officials said the team has accumulated "just over $300,000" in billings to other districts so far but cautioned that collections depend on the home district’s acknowledgement and timeliness. Mrs. Bissetti and special‑education personnel were singled out as leading the effort alongside Mr. Greenwood.
Administrators reiterated that the billing process is meticulous and can be slow because staff must identify periods of residency, compile records of services and repeatedly bill and follow up with home districts. They also said the state may withhold subsidies from nonpaying districts until reimbursements are made, which can help recovery.
Next steps: staff will continue the billing effort and provide updates to the finance committee and board as recoveries progress.
