The city clerk read the ordinances and resolution on behalf of the administration. The litter-prevention funding (item 25-360) comes from the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality and was appropriated to the FY2026 grant fund. The larger appropriation (item 25-361) designates $4,250,000 for the sanitary sewer pump station replacements project in the FY2026 capital improvement fund. Council then adopted the 2026 meeting calendar (item 25-362).
Council moved, seconded and voted to adopt each item; the clerk announced the votes as 7-0 for the litter fund and the sewer appropriation and similarly for the calendar in the transcript.
