JERSEY VILLAGE — The City Council voted to grant a specific‑use permit to Senate Rx LLC to operate a second retail pharmacy at 7342 Sennon Avenue.
The council opened a joint public hearing with the Planning & Zoning Commission. Planning & Zoning Chairman Rick Faircloth reported a unanimous recommendation to approve the permit. Dr. Laura Smith Williams, who said she will run the location while owner Jeremy Jason Huff remains the owner, told the council the new site will emphasize mail‑order and delivery services; walk‑ins will be welcome.
"I'm Dr. Laura Smith Williams. I'm here representing Jason Huff...the pharmacy is going to be owned by him, but run by me," she said during the public hearing.
Chairman Faircloth told council the commission met after the public hearing and recommended approval unanimously. Council then moved, seconded and approved Ordinance 2025‑46 granting the special‑use permit.
Why it matters: The permit allows an existing local pharmacy business to expand within Jersey Village, adding a second location intended to increase delivery and mail‑order capacity without restricting customer walk‑ins.
What’s next: The applicant may proceed with any required permitting and business licensing at the approved location.
