The presentation referenced South Carolina Code 59‑18‑16‑15 (definition and reporting for underperforming schools).
Board members asked about how the plans are adjusted and specific strategies the high schools have used, including double‑blocking courses, targeted progress monitoring and partnerships with NIET (National Institute for Excellence in Teaching). Doctor Minor and other administrators described attendance teams, parent engagement and data monitoring as part of the approach.
