The Board of Mayor and Aldermen voted on multiple ordinances, resolutions and procurement items during its Dec. 11 meeting. Key votes included budget and code changes, grant participation and routine procurement approvals.
Ordinances and budgets
- Ordinance 25-24 (first reading): Amendment to the FY2026 Capital Investment Program fund to transfer $55,704.63 from the capital fund available balance into CIP expenditures (adjusting the CIP to $24,880,884.92). Staff noted a mathematical correction; the board approved the first reading by roll call vote at approximately 6:15 p.m.
- Ordinance 25-15: Amendments to Farragut Code Chapter 22 (driveways and other access ways). Planning Commission held two workshops and recommended approval; the board approved the ordinance on second and final reading by a 5-0 roll-call vote at approximately 6:17 p.m.
- Ordinance 25-19 (second/final reading): Amendment to the FY2026 CIP and American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) fund budgets, including a $6,089,416.29 transfer into CIP and $132,589.25 (plus $25,000) from ARPA reserves into ARPA expenditures; the board approved on second/final reading by a 5-0 roll-call vote at about 6:19 p.m.
Resolutions and grants
- R2025-22: Authorized participation in the Public Entity Partners driver-safety matching grant (50/50 match for purchases; 100% reimbursement for motor vehicle record checks). Approved by the board.
- R2025-23: Authorized participation in the Public Entity Partners cybersecurity matching grant for training and cybersecurity tools. Approved by the board.
- R2025-24: Designated bank depositories and authorized signers (TenBank and local government investment pool; named mayor, vice mayor, finance director and director of administrative services as signatories). Approved by the board.
Procurement and equipment
- Approved purchases under Tennessee state contract 88764: a 2026 Ford Maverick AWD SuperCrew for parks maintenance ($29,021) and a 2026 F-250 XL 4x4 crew cab for public works ($54,382). Funding was included in the equipment replacement fund budgets.
