Easton board approves multiple finance, facilities, contracts and student-discipline items

The board also approved a contract with Trane to replace the public library chiller after discussion about the district’s financial responsibility for library maintenance. One member voiced concern about the district bearing full costs for the library and urged broader community financial participation.
Under educational-technology and student-support items, the board approved agreements with Behavioral Health Associates and the IU20 for job coaching, applied behavior analysis, behavior technician services, and parent-transport reimbursement (the district will reimburse parents at the IRS mileage rate when parents transport their own child to alternate placements). Board members asked for clarification about insurance and liability; district counsel and staff explained the district’s approach and cited legal guidance.
Student-discipline items included approval of expulsion hearing waiver forms for three students under specified student numbers; the October 2025 teacher-tenure report was presented for information.
