Budget Advisory Committee approves Nov. 6 minutes, assigns reserve-policy follow-ups and picks Feb. 12 meeting date

The Englewood Budget Advisory Committee approved the Nov. 6 meeting minutes after a motion and second, then turned to a review of the general fund reserve policy draft and upcoming meeting scheduling.

Chair Jay Knight asked for a motion to approve the Nov. 6 minutes; the motion was made and seconded, and the committee approved the minutes by voice vote. The meeting record shows a voice vote with ayes recorded; no roll-call tally was taken on the record.

During the reserve-policy discussion the committee identified outstanding triggers that need refinement, including one tied to sales-and-use-tax reliance. Committee member Nevin Mandel said he would supply the materials he had prepared for the sales-and-use-tax section after a family emergency delayed his submission. The chair and staff agreed to reconvene with a final draft for review before presenting recommendations to City Council.

For scheduling, members discussed February meeting options and agreed that Thursday, Feb. 12 would work for most members; staff will post the date and coordinate the agenda. The meeting adjourned with holiday well-wishes from members.
