The Huron City Commission approved a series of engineering payments and project closeouts during its meeting.

Engineering lead Sean Snodhorse described four requests and recommended approval of each: Payment request No. 1 (final closeout) for the Wavell Drive sanitary sewer replacement in the amount of $230,603.19; payment request No. 2 (final closeout) to Microcom for phase 4 of the wastewater collection system, including SCADA for lift stations, in the amount of $155,825.63; payment request No. 3 (final closeout) to Micro Con for phase 3 in the amount of $10,000 related to water towers and the water treatment facility; and payment request No. 13, a progress payment to HK Solutions for project 202408 in the amount of $287,533.67. "We recommend approval," Snodhorse said when presenting the projects.

Each item was moved, seconded and approved by roll-call votes. Commissioners confirmed, in at least one instance, that a project was complete before voting.

The approvals close out work on several phases of the city’s sewer and water infrastructure projects and authorize a large progress payment for a separate project. Commissioners did not record conditions or dissent in the meeting transcript.
