The Springfield School Committee ratified a memorandum of agreement between the district and the bargaining unit representing school security guards.

"We are definitely, appreciating the fact that we were able to settle this, collective bargaining agreement with our school security guards," Superintendent Dr. Dinal told the committee, saying both sides met several times and that the agreement had already been ratified by union members.

Mister Gonzales moved the item and Miss Gresham seconded; the clerk called the roll and the motion passed.

The superintendent said the contract had been discussed in executive session and the committee ratified the agreement in open session. The transcript does not include contract terms; the committee recorded passage by roll call.
