Carroll County commissioners approved a one‑year contract Dec. 1 with Health Drive to provide on‑site dental services at Mountain View Community.

County staff said the contract replaces services lost when the dentist with Northeast Mobile Dental retired. The administration described the arrangement as a one‑year term with a 30‑day termination clause and said Health Drive will provide on‑site dental care at the county facility for $900 per month.

A motion to approve the contract was made, seconded and carried with the board voting 'Aye.' Officials said they will finalize administrative signatures and follow the county’s standard contract processes going forward.

The contract was presented during the regular meeting; a public commenter questioned whether future contracts should be circulated to commissioners for review with time to consult the county attorney before a vote. County staff agreed to ensure future contracts are routed for review.
