The Franklin County Commission voted to approve the consent agenda and a series of land-use and financial items during its December meeting. The panel also approved application 2510-0059 (Brian) and application 2510-0056 (B Squared), the latter to rezone just under 20 acres from A1 to RE; planning staff told commissioners the planning commission had recommended approval of each by unanimous vote.

The commission also approved special-use permit application 2510-0010 for Diamond Communications LLC to construct and operate a 195-foot self-supporting communications tower in an I-2 (heavy industrial) district; staff said the site is on the north edge of town, away from most residences. Commissioners then accepted dedications on the final plat related to the Brian rezoning.

On finance, staff presented a resolution to carry out year-end transfers, noting transfers are contingent on funds being available on the last day of the year. Staff said road and bridge transfers are larger than in prior years and emphasized maintaining reserve balances; commissioners approved the resolution by roll-call vote.
