Galena Park ISD trustees approve minutes, policy update and consent agendas in unanimous votes

After the presentation items, the board approved the minutes of the Nov. 10 regular meeting (with clerical corrections to two construction consent agenda entries), adopted TASB policy manual update 01/26 at first and final reading, and approved a resolution to cast the district's 20 votes in favor of Martina Lamond Dixon for a Harris Central Appraisal District board seat. Trustees also approved the general consent agenda, the construction consent agenda, and the financial consent agenda. All motions were recorded as carried 5–0 with no abstentions.
Specific motions on the record included a post‑executive‑session motion to approve a written contract allowing administrators to receive a financial benefit for services outside the district; Norma Hernandez moved and Amanda Arabia seconded, and the motion carried 5–0.
