The Keizer City Council on Dec. 1 approved a Keizer Public Arts Commission request to authorize the south‑facing wall at Los Dos Hermanos (3590 River Road North) as a public art site.
Planning commission and KPAC representatives explained the council would be approving the location only; final artwork and any agreements with property owners or artists would return to KPAC and staff. City Manager/Staff said the project carried no direct general‑fund impact; KPAC typically funds murals through its annual budget (about $6,000) and donations or in‑kind services.
Councilor Christopher noted the application was before council because the property owner was willing; he said KPAC may present five or six additional River Road sites in the future. KPAC identified Bridgette Miller as a potential artist and suggested a ribbon cutting at KeizerFest if scheduling works out.
Council President Starr moved approval; the motion passed unanimously with one member absent. The authorization is subject to Keizer code public art provisions and KPAC review criteria.
