Christina Wright, senior planner for Glynn County, presented a village preservation design review for 311 and 313 Mallory Street and said the project proposes a new dark-green metal roof, white exterior paint with dark brown trim, brick pavers and a larger canopy while maintaining the property’s retail-commercial use. "The current and proposed use remain the same, which is retail commercial," Wright told commissioners.
Architect Robert Ursree attended for the applicant and offered to answer technical questions about elevations and materials. Commissioners asked to see exterior views and staff confirmed the proposed canopy and roof colors are consistent with Section 709.4 performance standards referenced in the packet.
The public hearing was opened and closed with no speakers. Commissioner (unnamed) moved to approve VP-25-7311 without modifications; a second was recorded and the motion passed by unanimous voice vote.
The commission’s approval clears the county-level design-review step; staff and the applicant will proceed with any required building- or permitting-stage submissions.
