LAFAYETTE, Colo. — The Lafayette City Historic Preservation Commission on Dec. 15 approved its 2026 meeting calendar and a series of additions to local historic districts, including several city-owned properties, while tabling a mural certificate-of-appropriateness (CFA) application until January.
The commission’s acting vice president opened the meeting and noted that Commissioner John Burns was absent because he was "sick." Commissioners first approved minutes from the Sept. 29, 2025 meeting and then voted to adopt a calendar that schedules regular commission meetings on the fourth Monday of each month rather than the last Monday.
At the request of the District Committee, commissioners approved renaming the existing Saint Mary’s, 1116 Columbia Street Historic District to the Saint Mary’s Lower Columbia Historic District to prepare for the addition of a nearby property. The commission then voted to…
