Board approves chemicals bid advertisement, allows West Lafayette participation, declares surplus electronics and signs off on claims

The purchasing office requested and the board approved permission to advertise bids for chemicals used by Lafayette Renew, the waterworks plant and the parks department. Dave Payne, Purchasing Manager, said notices would publish Dec. 12 and Dec. 19 and bids would be opened Jan. 6.
Payne also asked that the West Lafayette Water Resource Recovery Facility be allowed to participate in the bidding; the board approved that participation. Purchasing staff then listed devices eligible for surplus sale—1 iPad mini, 7 iPhone 12s, 22 iPhone 13s and 38 iPhone 14s—and the board declared the items surplus.
Jenna Carl from the Controller’s Office presented claims totaling $5,485,352.04; the board approved the claims as presented.
