The Mainland Planning Commission on Dec. 2 approved site plan SP-25-36, a phased expansion for DJD Southeast Real Estate Holdings LLC to support Dobbs Equipment (John Deere contractor) at 251 Perry Lane.
Christopher Carey, senior planner, described the site as sandwiched between Perry Lane and the railroad near Highway 341, and said the project is about 27,665 square feet total and will be built in three chronological phases: initial new building east of the existing structure, demolition and reconfiguration in the second phase, and a final building addition to the west. Agent David Grama (Grama Engineering) told commissioners the project is a single development delivered in three construction phases and that civil and site specifics will be addressed through standard county review.
No public opposition was raised during the hearing. A commissioner moved to recommend approval of the site plan as presented; the motion was seconded and passed by voice vote reported as 6–0. With the commission’s approval, the applicant will proceed with required permit applications and construction plans per county procedures.
