Dr. Thomas responded that he did not have the ACT numbers at the dais but said the district "moved up several points on our report card" and described the program as providing earlier access to the ACT (a free opportunity in 10th grade as well as in 11th) to help first-generation college students improve scores and eligibility for scholarships. Board members pressed whether participation was mandatory and were told the prep is required for certain students but that the district offers multiple testing opportunities.

The board approved the renewal quote as part of the consent package. Dr. Thomas said the district will track outcomes; the transcript does not record specific ACT score changes or enrollment figures for the program.
