The Murrieta City Council met in closed session on Dec. 16 under Government Code sections for anticipated and existing litigation and later reported actions to the public.

The city attorney said the council received updates on four anticipated litigation matters with no reportable action. On a separate item (City of Murrieta v. Carusch Kalighi, Riverside County case CVME2512084), the council voted unanimously to approve a purchase price of $42,300 for an easement.

The city attorney framed the closed session report as having no other reportable actions; the easement purchase was the only authorized, reportable item disclosed after the meeting's recess from open session.
