DENTON, Texas — The Denton County Commissioners Court on Dec. 2 opened public hearings on three land-use items in the Lake Ray Roberts planning and zoning area and approved all three without public opposition.
The court considered a planned-development-to-R4 rezoning (LRR08250017) and a rezoning from agricultural to R5 residential estates (LR0925001A, Property R58804). Both hearings were opened and closed with no speakers; Commissioners Williams and Falconer moved and seconded approval in each instance, and the motions carried unanimously.
The court also approved the final plat for the Chisholm Ranch Estates replat (Lots 2R and 5R, Block A), a 7.414-acre tract in Precinct 2. That approval likewise drew no public comment and passed on a motion by Commissioner Williams with a second by Commissioner Falconer.
Why it matters: These approvals clear the way for residential development and record changes to official land records in the Lake Ray Roberts planning area. The court took no additional variances or conditions on the floor; staff had presented the items as routine public hearings.
