The Albany County Board of Commissioners voted Nov. 18 to accept the courthouse and 501 East Ivinson solar array project as complete and to direct the clerk to advertise the project for final payment to Creative Energies LLC.
County staff told the board the project's final cost is $178,976 and that Rocky Mountain Power required a meter-set upgrade that generated a single change order of $2,234. Staff said Rocky Mountain Power completed coordination work about three weeks earlier, including installing new meters, and that retaining the final payment is standard until the 40th day after the first advertisement.
"Creative Energy's part was done quite a while ago, but we were waiting on some coordination with Rocky Mountain Power," a county staff member said, noting the meter work and the single change order.
Commissioners moved and seconded approval of final acceptance and advertising for payment. The motion carried unanimously.
The county will release retainage following the statutory advertisement period and any further administrative checks; staff did not report changes to the project scope or additional costs beyond the single change order.
The action completes the county's acceptance step for the solar installation, clearing the way for final payment under the contract.
