Presenters from the juvenile courts and a service provider asked Bannock County commissioners on Dec. 16 to sign a renewed service agreement with the Idaho Department of Juvenile Corrections.

Jason Dye, described in the record as a judicial-district administrator, said the agreement is a renewal of services D6 Treatment has provided and that the contract had been reviewed by legal and human-resources staff. Ashley Brinkhurst of D6 Treatment accompanied Dye and described the program and requested the board’s signature on the independent-contractor agreement.

Dye told commissioners the arrangement would be billed through state mechanisms for particular services (described in the meeting as DCS revenue budget or state pass-through billing). Commissioners asked whether the funding came from the state; the presenters confirmed it would be handled through state billing.

A commissioner moved that the board sign the independent-contractor agreement with the Idaho Department of Juvenile Corrections; the motion carried by voice vote and the presenters thanked the board.
