Resident David Carlson told the commission he lives adjacent to the proposed development and said the plan—s multiple new driveways on a gravel road would increase dust and traffic near residences and a nearby cemetery. Carlson said heavy semitrailer traffic already passes the area daily, that local roads are in poor condition, and that the applicant—s online postings showed lots for sale before formal approval; he also said a barn fire on the property had not been fully cleaned up (SEG 311-439).
"I would like to see that the road is forced to be paved by the Cleveland Blanding Farm," Carlson said, and added that splitting the land into many smaller tracts would cause problems for the community.
