The Beloit School District board voted unanimously at a regular meeting to retain Law Forward and co-counsel for potential statewide litigation and authorized Doctor Wayne Anderson, the district interim superintendent, to sign an engagement letter to formalize the arrangement.
Board member Carol Fox moved to retain Law Forward and co-counsel for potential statewide litigation and to authorize Doctor Wayne Anderson to sign an engagement letter; Megan Miller seconded the motion. After brief remarks and no further discussion, the board called the ayes and the motion carried unanimously.
Megan Miller thanked Law Forward and Doctor Underwood "for coming to us with this opportunity," noting appreciation for outside counsel’s offer to assist the district.
The board also voted unanimously to extend its listing/representation contract with Century 21 and realtor Mike Marquette for 12 months. Megan Miller moved the extension; Carol Fox seconded. There was no substantive debate recorded before the board approved the extension.
