The Bristol Warren Regional School Committee approved changes to its 2026 meeting calendar at the Dec. 15 meeting, adding an extra meeting in January and shifting two November dates to better align with election certification and onboarding.

A member proposed adding two meetings because of when elections fall, suggesting Nov. 9 and Nov. 23 as replacements for a prior November date. The committee discussed certification timing and the need for at least two meetings before budget work begins to orient any new members. The chair said the dates will be added and the secretary of state notified as required.

Motion to approve the calendar (with Jan. 12 added and November changed to Nov. 9 and Nov. 23) was made by Mister Donovan and seconded by Miss Almeda. The committee approved the calendar by voice vote.

Members also discussed meeting cadence around Joint Finance Committee (JFC) dates and noted that additional public meetings may be scheduled if JFC confirms dates.
