Staff said the county's current annual contract was about $978 and the new service would raise that to approximately $3,700 per year; court staff said some of the cost for next year might be offset by possible Supreme Court funding but that amount was uncertain.

Commissioners discussed timing and whether to pay for the upgrade this fiscal year or include it in next year’s budget. A motion was made to approve the technology upgrade for District Court, funded from Fund 200 (excess revenue), and the motion carried by voice vote.

Court staff also requested a small, one-time purchase (approx. $150–$200) for a wooden table in a conference room; commissioners agreed informally to assist with logistics.
