The FAME Life Advisory Committee elected a three-person leadership team and approved minutes during its in-person meeting. Brian Griffith, the committee’s staff liaison and supervisor of health and physical education for Frederick County Public Schools, explained the roles of chair, vice chair and secretary and asked for nominations.
Hannah Feldman, principal at Yellow Springs Elementary School, moved to approve Robin Bridal, Daphne (first name only in transcript) and Devon (first name only in transcript) as the leadership team; Casey Nixon, a health and physical education teacher and nonvoting board representative, seconded the motion. The motion carried, and the committee agreed the three leaders will meet with staff liaisons to set future agendas.
Earlier in the meeting, Stephanie Church moved to approve the minutes from the previous meeting; Robin Bridal seconded and the motion passed unanimously. Griffith reminded members that the committee is advisory and that approved recommendations will be forwarded to the Board of Education for final action. The committee set its next meeting for Tuesday, Feb. 10.
