The Linden City Council on Dec. 16 adopted a resolution honoring Councilman Carlos Rivas for his service as the 5th Ward representative. City leaders and the mayor thanked Rivas for his work on council committees and his prior service on the Linden Board of Education.
Council leadership praised Rivas for his dedication. Rivas said serving was "truly an honor," recalled personal and family challenges during his term, and urged fellow residents and officials to remain engaged and hold public officials accountable. He said his commitment to Linden will continue outside of City Hall.
