Business administrator (reported in the meeting) said the district closed the prior fiscal year with reserves and surplus: capital reserve $252,463; maintenance reserve $100,750; tuition reserve $300,000; and a surplus of $311,374 available to carry forward into next year's budget. The administrator noted the district must still plan around uncertain state aid and the March budget timeline.
Board action: On consent, the board approved agenda items 10.01 through 10.12 (which included budget transfers, certifications of no overexpenditure, secretary/treasurer reports, purchase orders/warrants, approval of the 2024-25 audit report and a set of facilities requests for organized youth/senior sports). Other approvals: The curriculum and personnel committee approved a March field trip to the aquarium, a student-teacher placement running January through May 8, 2026, substitute and nurse placements and travel reimbursements for professional development. Ending: The board closed routine business and moved to a second public comment period later in the meeting. Staff said the audit report would be posted to the district website as required by law within 24 248 hours.
