Brookings council accepts clean audit for fiscal year ending June 30, 2025

The Brookings City Council voted Dec. 8 to accept the city—s audit for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2025, receiving what the city described as an unmodified opinion from its new auditors.

Lou, the staff member who presented the report, said Sensaba LLP conducted the audit and ‘‘the city received an unmodified opinion on the 06/30/2025 audit,’’ meaning the financial statements are presented fairly in all material respects according to generally accepted accounting principles. Bound copies were placed in council members— boxes and the audit is available on the city website and at City Hall for the public.
