The Longmeadow School Committee voted on several routine items at its Dec. 16 meeting.

Minutes: The committee approved the minutes of the Dec. 2, 2025 meeting by roll-call vote.

Field trip preapproval: The committee granted preliminary approval for an overnight trip for 12 student council members (chaperone Miss Heidi Drawick) to the Massachusetts Association of Student Councils spring conference in Barnstable in March 2026; administrators will return for final approval after transportation and accommodations are arranged.

Building use request: The committee approved a building use request from the Longmeadow Aquatic Club to use the high school cafeteria on Jan. 29, 2026, 5:00–8:30 p.m., a request that has been approved in prior years.

Gift acceptance: The committee accepted a $4,000 donation from Mr. Dudek to provide student tickets to boys and girls basketball games. Administrators said they will track ticket distribution and consult the donor about returning unused funds or holding them for future seasons.

Executive session: The committee voted to enter executive session under Mass. Gen. Laws ch. 30A, §21A for collective bargaining strategy (units B, D, E), litigation strategy and approval of minutes, and later returned to open session to continue business.
