The Board of Trustees honored Pete Pritchard on Dec. 10 as the grand marshal of the Delhi Christmas parade. Chair (unnamed) introduced Pritchard, cited his more than 40 years of service with the Delhi Township Fire Department and presented him with a plaque; Pritchard thanked the parade committee.
Marketing and events director Bob Riesenbergh reported that the recent holiday jamboree held at the event center following the parade drew an estimated 2,000 people through the building. He thanked volunteers and school choirs and promoted upcoming programming at the Delhi Event Center, including a paint‑and‑sip (Dec. 12), holiday princess breakfast (Dec. 14), wine tasting (Dec. 18) and a chili cook‑off (Jan. 18 at Maloney’s Pub). The township also announced a Christmas tree recycling drop‑off at Floral Paradise Gardens, 461 Greenwell Avenue, from Dec. 29–Jan. 12; trees will be shredded into mulch for parks.
Tony Capel, speaking for the parade committee, thanked township staff and volunteers and gave his name and address for the record as requested by the board.
The administration encouraged residents to register for events through the Delhi Event Center website and reminded attendees of registration deadlines and age restrictions where applicable.
