Trustees on Dec. 10 accepted the voluntary resignations of part‑time firefighter/EMT Jacob P. Crawford (effective 12/04/2025) and Community Risk Reduction Associate Roberta J. Honnert (effective 12/10/2025).
Chief Campbell thanked both employees and noted Crawford accepted a full‑time firefighter position with the city of Cincinnati. The chief also praised Honnert’s work leading the department’s CARES social‑services program and said she will be honored again in the near future.
On personnel in the police department, trustees approved promotion of Adam A. Smith to corporal effective Dec. 10, 2025, under terms of the collective‑bargaining agreement.
In an operational update, Chief Campbell said the fire department handled about 350 runs in November and reported response metrics the department monitors closely. The chief cited a recent Lullaby Street garage fire as an example of quick performance: crews were on scene in about one minute and had water on the fire within four minutes, allowing occupants to remain in the house because the fire was limited to the garage. He urged residents to check smoke detectors after the time change.
Chair (unnamed) contrasted the township’s response with a personal experience calling 911 in the city, saying she was placed on hold for 20 minutes; Chief Campbell framed Delhi’s response times as a point of pride and thanked personnel for their service.
Next steps: trustees will proceed with routine onboarding and recruitment for seasonal and part‑time vacancies and recognize departing staff at a future meeting.
