Greene County council handles routine transfers, personnel and salary ordinance after solar vote

Following a lengthy public hearing and the council's vote on the Worthington Solar confirmatory resolution, Greene County's Council resumed regular business and approved several administrative items.
County business approved in the later portion of the meeting included: an $96.83 transfer from the child-support overtime fund to the incentive fund requested by the prosecutor (motion carried), a motion to convert a recorder office employee from part time to full time with the first-year difference funded from the recorder's perpetuation fund and revisited at next year's budget hearings (motion carried), and a commissioner appropriation to replace a clothes dryer at the county jail (motion carried).
The council also approved multiple board and commission appointments, tabling two items (the Bloomfield Eastern Public Library appointment and one redevelopment commission appointment) for later; adopted a revised salary ordinance with clarified deputy increments (the council confirmed it would not retroactively apply a planned 2.7% raise and elected to freeze pay levels), and set a special meeting for Dec. 29 at 4 p.m. to finalize the employee handbook. A job description for a "Swell and Water" intern was also approved.
All these items were recorded as motions and votes in public session.
The council adjourned after the routine business and reminded the public of the special meeting on Dec. 29 at 4 p.m.
