Pickerel Lake resident urges Becker County to resist wake‑boat surface restrictions

Commissioners discussed the merits of distance limits and the difficulty of policing shoreline behavior; one commissioner said he would support a 300‑foot countywide setback to keep surf activity away from shorelands, but also expressed reluctance to impose ordinances that are hard to enforce.
No formal action was taken; Louwaje submitted maps to county staff for the record and the board flagged the item as one that could be raised formally in the future if a petition is filed.
