Public Works Director Scott Christie described an alternative approach to making the park accessible that places accessible parking and an improved entry near the Kindergym and community center instead of replacing the front stairs with a long switchback ramp. "We believe this is a preferred option for the access," Christie said, noting the approach reduces grading and avoids extensive retaining walls.
