The commission took several administrative and procurement actions on Dec. 1. The board approved a contract with Schwab Eaton to provide engineering services for a bridge project and authorized staff signatures on the agreement.
The commission also approved proceeding with publication and scheduling the required public hearing for a road-closure application submitted by Patricia Daniels; staff will publish the notice and notify adjacent property owners as required by law.
On county IT and communications, the board moved to designate Commissioners Milburn and Sheriff Martin plus Accounts Payable clerk Amber as authorized contacts/administrators on the county Verizon account so that lines and device provisioning for incoming commissioners (including the commissioner-elect) can be processed. Chair was authorized to begin provisioning email and phone accounts for the incoming commissioner, with the clerk to place the incoming commissioner on the next agenda.
