The board next nominated candidates for vice president and conducted a roll-call vote. After members stated their votes aloud, the chair announced the outcome as a 5-4 vote and declared Director Helm the vice president.
Directors confirmed nine members present earlier in the evening, establishing a quorum. The board also took procedural steps to set its meeting calendar, including consolidating May meetings to a single session on May 12.
