This transcript is a public service announcement from Cibolo City with guidance for residents on preparing brush and bulk for curbside collection.
Residents may set out up to a combined 3 cubic yards of brush and bulk per collection, which the speaker described as roughly the size of three trash carts lined up side by side. Large volumes should be bundled with rope or twine; each bundle should be no more than 4 feet long, contain branches under 4 inches in diameter, and weigh no more than 45 pounds. Smaller amounts of brush may be placed in the household trash cart.
Bundles should be placed at the curb (not in the street) at least 6 feet from obstacles such as mailboxes, parked cars, fire hydrants or utility boxes. Leaves, grass and hedge clippings should go in heavy-duty plastic bags or approved paper yard bags. The speaker said construction debris, concrete, lumber, ash, cinders, dirt and dead trees are not collected and must be disposed of by the property owner. Tree trunks over 4 inches in diameter should be cut in place and placed in the trash cart.
Waste Connections was named as the collection and processing contractor; the speaker said residents may place Christmas trees at the curb on their regular brush and bulk collection day. For collection schedules the speaker directed residents to the Waste Connect app or to cibolotx.gov/trash. The message closed with a brief community appeal to keep Cibolo beautiful.
No civic deliberation, motions, votes, or public comment exchange are present in the transcript; the content is an informational announcement.
