O’Neil reported ticket sales momentum (over 700 tickets sold), and staff described conservative, “worst-case” budgeting for marketing and staffing. Council discussed break-even attendance thresholds and potential economic impact to local hotels and restaurants.
A motion to authorize the city manager to negotiate and execute the agreement as amended passed on roll call. The recorded vote showed Deputy Mayor Derek Reed voting No; other councilors voted Yes.
