The Village of Jackson Board of Public Works on Nov. 25 accepted the completed 2024 wastewater-treatment plant upgrades — specifically the tertiary filters and UV disinfection systems — and authorized the village administrator to sign documents to close the Clean Water Fund loan.
During the item, staff confirmed receipt of the operations and maintenance manual for the upgraded systems and said they will submit the final loan reimbursement request once the manual is reviewed by the wastewater supervisor and director. "I received that earlier this week... so that's gonna be reviewed by myself and our wastewater supervisor, but we should be seeing the final loan reimbursement request now that we've got that finished," Director of Public Works Jack Strahler said.
The board carried the motion to accept the project completion and to authorize the administrator to execute loan‑closure documents. No opposition was voiced during the recorded voice vote.
Next steps include staff review of the O&M manual and submission of final reimbursement paperwork to the Clean Water Fund lender; the board did not set any additional requirements at the meeting.
