Covington High FFA parliamentary procedure team demonstrates Roberts Rules to council

Members of the Covington High School FFA Parliamentary Procedure Team addressed the council to explain how they use Robert's Rules of Order in competitions and daily chapter business. Team members Bianca Chodris, Tristan Angellet, Bentley Turabella and Abigail Pellegrin described requirements for debates and motions and explained that each competitor must participate in main and extra motions.
"We are the Covington High FFA Parliamentary Procedure Team," Bianca Chodris said, introducing the ninth-grade and one sophomore team members and outlining how the competition simulates a chapter meeting with debate requirements. Students told the council that teams that are unprepared "do not do too well" in competition.
Council members thanked the students for attending, with one speaker noting a family connection to FFA and 4-H and encouraging the students to observe the council in action. The presentation was brief and intended as an educational demonstration; no council action was required.
