Council approves annexation and pre-zoning for proposed gas station at 2508 Gordon Terry Parkway

The Decatur City Council voted 5–0 to approve annexation No. 38025 and Ordinance 254620 for a parcel described as probably located at 2508 Gordon Terry Parkway.
A planning department representative told the council the applicant had met all conditions and that the Planning Commission approved the request in August. The applicant will seek pre-zoning to M1A when they come before the council to construct a proposed gas station, the planning representative said.
Mr. McMasters moved the ordinance; Mr. Bullard seconded. On roll call the annexation/ordinance passed with five ayes. No conditions or amendments beyond those described by planning staff were recorded during the council discussion.
The council did not vote on a site plan or final rezoning at this meeting; staff said the pre-zoning M1A request will be presented at a future council appearance.
