Council approves HVAC unit replacement at Carnegie Arts basement

Kurt Johnson of building maintenance explained the replacement was recommended "due to the age and old refrigerant" of the existing unit and described the Carrier contract the city uses for pricing and service. "Right now, we signed a 3 year agreement with Carrier, and I believe we're starting our last year of that agreement with them," Johnson said, adding the city uses Carrier's iView web-based network to remotely monitor and change set points for units at City Hall, the Princess Theater and the library.
A motion to approve the expenditure was made by Mr. McMasters and seconded by Mr. Atkins. Roll call recorded five ayes and Resolution 25337 was approved 5–0.
