The council approved several community agreements and event authorizations on Dec. 2. Staff presented an agreement allocating specific baseball and softball fields at the Oldsmar Sports Complex to Oldsmar Little League with weekday and Saturday time blocks and a cost‑sharing arrangement for concession electricity and lighting; the council voted to approve the agreement.
Council also approved a multi‑year sanctioning agreement with USA BMX to allow the city to host series events, including a Gold Cup series race in April 2026 and the Gator Nationals in October 2026. The agreement extends through Dec. 31, 2030 and was approved after staff said it had been reviewed by the city attorney.
Separately, the council approved a $650 special‑event fee waiver and limited use of the city logo for Oldsmar Friends of the Arts’ Mardi Gras fundraiser (Feb. 17, 2026) at Veterans Memorial Park after staff verified documentation (prior year financial report, current budget, bank statement and tax filing). Staff recommended approval for all items and the council passed each motion.
