Oldsmar approves FDEP grant amendment to keep WRF Control Building reimbursements on schedule

That structure risked delayed or missed reimbursements because grant expiration dates could predate construction completion, staff said.
The proposed amendment removes the need to move funds between subtasks as originally written and allows the city to be reimbursed for completed work prior to final construction completion. Staff recommended approval so that the city would not face delayed payments or potential nonpayment tied to the grant’s original structure.
Council approved the amendment by voice vote. Staff said the change is intended to protect the project’s cash flow and keep construction on schedule.
