Casper council approves transfer of retail liquor license and issues new bar-and-grill license

The Casper City Council on Dec. 2 approved two liquor-license matters after public hearings and unanimous votes.

Transfer of retail liquor license No.10: The council opened a public hearing on the transfer of retail liquor license No.10 from Silver Fox Restaurant & Lounge to Big D Oil Company (Big D No.63) for premises at 4501 Southwest Wyoming Boulevard. The City Attorney (unnamed) identified the exhibits on file, and the city manager (unnamed) reported the applicant intends to remodel the premises and noted that "the retail liquor license will not be issued until all the required inspections for the remodel are completed and other health permits have been approved." Councillor Sweeney moved and Councillor Haskins seconded the motion to approve the transfer. With all councilors voting aye, the motion passed.

New bar-and-grill liquor license No.7: The council also opened a hearing on a new Bar and Grill liquor license No.7 for Quintana Innovations LLC doing business at Silver Fox Steakhouse, 3422 Energy Lane. The city manager explained that, with the retail license no longer in use, the premises are eligible for a bar-and-grill license and that issuance is contingent on required health permits. After applicant representatives spoke in favor and no opposition was presented, Councilor Jensen moved and Councillor Sweeney seconded the motion to approve the license. The motion passed with all councilors voting aye.

The council recorded the administrative exhibits and closed both hearings; no contested objections were entered into the record for either item.
