The board approved out-of-state travel and associated bookings for Monica Cox to attend the 2026 NACCHO Preparedness Summit in Baltimore. Speaker 5 said the trip — scheduled for April 12–16, 2026 — has been preapproved under the county’s Public Health Emergency Preparedness grant for registration, hotel and flights, and is reimbursable under the grant terms. "Everything has already been preapproved, through the grant... it's reimbursable," Speaker 5 told the board.
Supervisors moved and seconded the request and recorded an affirmative vote. The county will proceed with hotel and flight purchases according to grant rules.
