Riverview Center outlines services to Benton County supervisors and requests FY27 support

Representatives of the Riverview Center briefed Benton County supervisors on the nonprofit’s work and requested consideration of a FY27 budget allocation. Paige and Soterica described a range of services: 24/7 advocacy at hospitals, court accompaniment, counseling, group therapy and prevention programming in schools.
The advocate who works in Benton County said she works in the county twice a week and currently serves a caseload that includes about 15 youth (ages roughly 8–18) and six adults. "We always say that we're the organization you don't really want to know about, but you'll be glad we're there if you know somebody that needs our services," the presenter said.
Supervisors thanked the presenters and asked clarifying questions about service delivery and locations; presenters said they meet clients at the office, in libraries, at schools or at clients’ homes depending on the client’s preference and safety. The board did not take final action on a funding request but indicated it would consider the Riverview Center during budget deliberations.
